Granola is an excellent choice for breakfast or snacking since it is a combination of oats, nuts, and sugars that is both wholesome and crunchy. In addition to being excellent when taken on its own, it can be easily customized with the ingredients of your choice and can be enjoyed with yogurt or milk.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl - combine oats
  • nuts
  • salt
  • and cinnamon (if using).
  • In a small saucepan - heat honey and oil over low heat until warm. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients - mix well to coat.
  • Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes - stirring halfway through until golden brown.
  • Remove from oven - let cool completely. Stir in dried fruit if desired.
