Instructions

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl - whisk together the flour - sugar - baking powder - and salt.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl - mix the milk - egg - melted butter - and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. The batter may be a little lumpy - don’t overmix.
  • Heat the Pan: Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil if needed.
  • Cook Pancakes: Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set (about 2-3 minutes). Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve: Remove pancakes from the skillet and serve warm with your favorite toppings like syrup - fruit - or whipped cream.
